Easy Phone Tunes requires that the phone is put into a particular mode before it can be detected. For most Samsung devices this can be done in one of the following ways:
Ensure that the phone is connected to the PC (or Mac) using the supplied USB cable, then:
- For the Samsung Galaxy S (old software): go to the “Settings” app, then select “About Phone”, then “USB Settings”, then “Mass Storage”
- For the Samsung Captivate (old software): go to the “Settings” app, then select “Applications”, then “USB Settings”, then “Mass Storage”
- For the Samsung Galaxy S and Captivate (new software): go to the “Settings” app, then select “Wireless and Network”, then “USB Settings”, then “Mass Storage”
The above steps fix the issue for the majority of Samsung users. However, there have been some occasions where some devices might still not detected. This is usually due to a problem with the Samsung USB drivers. You can download and install updated drivers from the Samsung website.
