Some older tracks purchased from the iTunes Store are copy protected. These copy protected tracks cannot be played on non-Apple phones.
The following types of track are usually copy protected:
- Music tracks purchased from the iTunes Store before January 2009
- Audiobooks purchased from the iTunes Store
This copy protection (also known as DRM) has been imposed by the iTunes Store. It is not a limitation of your phone or of Easy Phone Tunes.
The following types of track are usually not copy protected and can be played on most phones without problems:
- Music purchased from the iTunes Store from January 2009 onwards
- Older purchased tracks that have been upgraded to the iTunes Plus format (see here) – check for compatibility with your phone before upgrading
- Music copied from your own CDs
- Music downloaded from sites other than the iTunes Store
- Podcasts
